Bondi Beach in Sydney is one of the most famous beaches in Australia and one of the most famous surf spots in the world. It is located about seven kilometers east of the city center. The beach is synonymous with the Australian beach lifestyle and believes in tourists, day trippers, backpackers and, of course, residents of Sydney.
In total there are more than 40 beaches near Sydney, the most famous being Bondi Beach. The relaxed coastal lifestyle, the café culture, the numerous boutiques and the thriving, eclectic community attract thousands of tourists each year. Otherwise, Bondi is with the British traveler who sells to a very specific sandy beach in the southern hemisphere.
Bondi Beach is home to numerous youth hostels that are the destination of backpackers from all over the world, especially in the summer months. That’s why listening to different languages while strolling across the beach or through the cafes is not unusual.
Highly recommended is a hike along the beautiful Bondi-Coogee Beachwalk. It leads via Tamarama Beach, Bronte Beach and Clovelly Beach all the way to Coogee Beach.
The people of Bondi Beach are very hospitable and tolerant. Sunbathing is allowed and gay and lesbian couples can openly show their affection here.
